We had a great turnout for the first night of our inaugural Citizen's Academy this week. Participants got an introduction to several different aspects of the fire service, including using a fire hose, putting on bunker gear, and demonstrations of how a breathing apparatus works.

This is a 6 week program where attendees will learn about the many different parts of what we do as an emergency response agency. They will learn about our HAZMAT operations, Emergency Medical Services, Wildland Firefighting, and even Vehicle Extrication.
