Citizens Academy

Dear Community Members of Mountain View Fire Rescue,

The Community Outreach Team at Mountain View Fire Rescue is dedicated to educating the community about fire safety and empowering residents to take an active role in their safety.

We are excited to announce the launch of our inaugural 2025 Citizen’s Academy! This program is designed to provide an inside look at how our fire department operates to keep your town and the surrounding 250-square-mile district safe.

The Citizen’s Academy will begin on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, at 6:00 PM. The program runs for six consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (March 25, April 1, April 8, April 15, April 22, April 29), with a final Field Day on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Longmont Fire Training Center.

We would be honored to have you join us for this unique opportunity to learn more about our department and collaborate on creating a safer community for everyone. A flyer outlining the weekly curriculum and locations is linked at the bottom of this page. Please review the flyer to ensure you are able to travel to the various locations within our district throughout the academy weeks.
